ISLAMABAD: The government has officially announced Eid ul Adha 2025 holidays. According to media reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a four-day holiday for Eid, from Friday, June 6, to Monday, June 9, 2025.
As per the official public holiday calendar for 2025 issued at the start of the year, Eid ul Adha holidays were expected from June 7 to June 9. However, a formal notification from the federal government was still awaited.
It was anticipated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would make the final decision and might include Friday, June 6, as an additional holiday — and as expected, the government has now added Friday to the Eid break.
During these holidays, all government and private offices, educational institutions, and banks across the country will remain closed.
