ISLAMABAD – Senator Faisal Vawda has once again claimed that former ISI chief Lt Gen (R) Faiz Hameed will face a court martial and could be sentenced to 14 years in prison.
Speaking on a Dunya News’ program, Vawda said that Pakistan has won a major war against India not only on the military front but also on diplomatic and other fronts. He said the Pakistani nation is united and stands firmly behind its armed forces. “India is a low-level and petty enemy,” he added.
He warned that anyone supporting violence in Balochistan will be treated like a terrorist. “We will give a strong answer to India’s proxy war,” he said, adding that India is currently being run by a narrow-minded prime minister.
Talking about Gen (R) Faiz Hameed, Vawda claimed, “His court martial is going to happen and he will be jailed for 14 years. When the army doesn’t spare its own, how can others be spared?”
Vawda also said that politics has become irrelevant and politicians have failed to play their role. “The leadership that was expected from the democratic system has now come in the shape of the Army Chief. The Field Marshal has united the country and raised Pakistan’s flag with pride. He deserves credit for this success,” he said.
He added that the weaknesses of the democratic system have now been overshadowed by this national success. “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also deserves credit, as this war was won during his tenure. He should use this opportunity to bring politicians together,” he suggested.

Commenting on PTI, Faisal Vawda said the party’s leadership is confused and cannot decide who is loyal and who is not. He claimed that the establishment has lost interest in holding talks with PTI. “Major changes could happen in the party after Eid. PTI has now become like MQM-Pakistan,” he added.
He also said that PTI has already missed three big chances. “Now they are saying IMF talks should not happen. If they keep making such immature statements, they will be politically destroyed. PTI must find a way forward – if they do, they may succeed. If not, they will be politically finished.”
