ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has announced to run five special trains on the occasion of Eidul Azha. These trains will help manage the extra number of passengers and provide better travel facilities.
According to the details, these trains will run between various cities from June 2nd to June 4th.
A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways stated that the first special train will depart from Karachi Cantt. for Lahore at 1 PM on June 2nd, while the second special train will depart from Quetta for Peshawar Cantt. at 10 AM on June 3rd.
The third special train will depart from Lahore for Karachi Cantt. at 5 PM on June 3rd, and the fourth special train will depart from Karachi City for Rawalpindi at 8 PM on the same day.
Similarly, the fifth special train will depart from Karachi Cantt. for Lahore at 8 PM on June 4th. The spokesperson added that coaches and workshops have been arranged for the maintenance of the first, second, and fourth trains, while the available Eid Special Train racks will be used for the third and fifth trains.

Further, it was stated by the spokesperson that special initiatives have been taken to ensure public convenience, reduce rush, and ensure safe travel during Eid by Pakistan Railways.
Additionally, an important meeting was held in the Railway Ministry, attended by the Mechanical staff of All Pakistan Railway Division. The central theme of the meeting was to promptly and effectively resolve locomotive failures during the summer season, AC failures in coaches, and other technical issues to make railway travel comfortable, safe, and punctual for passengers.

Railway Minister Haneef Abbasi clarified during the meeting that preventing locomotive failures and AC failures in coaches during the summer season are the Ministry’s top priorities. He directed all available resources to be utilized for this purpose and instructed staff and officials to fulfill their responsibilities diligently to establish a stable and efficient railway system.
Furthermore, Minister Abbasi emphasized ensuring passenger comfort and punctuality and emphasized that any discomfort or delay would not be tolerated. He issued strict instructions to all staff, Deputy Superintendents, and relevant officials to take immediate and effective measures for the improvement of railway services.
Moreover, Minister Haneef Abbasi stated that if negligence or deficiencies were found in any department, strict legal and administrative actions would be taken. He instructed to closely monitor the performance of the staff to modernize and make railway services more reliable for passengers.
