RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing, has issued a statement to clarify former army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa’s statement on “combat worthiness”, which has been reported out of context in the media.
The clarification comes after discussions on the condition of certain weapon systems in Pakistan’s army inventory and the country’s combat readiness.
The ISPR emphasized that the former army chief’s comments were made during an off-the-record interactive session and have been quoted out of context.
The military’s media wing assured the people that Pakistan’s Armed Forces will always take pride in their operational preparedness and utmost combat worthiness, keeping their weapons, equipment, and battle-hardened human resource ever ready for the defense of the motherland.
