ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s enforcement wing has demolished 600 illegal structures in a large-scale operation that began on Wednesday in sectors of C series.
According to the CDA, the enforcement wing, aided by heavy machinery, razed 480 illegal houses in Sector C-13, 150 houses (including ten agro farms) in C-16, and two rooms in Sector C-14.
The operation was launched on the orders of the CDA chairman and will continue until all illegal structures raised after the compensation award was announced are demolished. Nine locals were arrested for creating obstacles during the operation.
