NOWSHERA: To boost tourism and recreation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved a new Safari Park in Nowshera district.
According to the details, In a meeting with the Department of Forests and Environment, the chief minister instructed that the project be added to the next Annual Development Programme (ADP) for implementation.
The meeting was attended by Adviser to the Chief Minister Musawir Khan and senior officials from the Departments of Forests and Environment, Finance, and Planning & Development.
Officials shared details about the proposed Safari Park, which will cover 560 acres in Misri Banda, Nowshera, where government land is available. The site is considered suitable for the project.
The park is expected to cost Rs. 3.5 billion and take three years to complete. It will include facilities like a botanical garden, bird enclosures, an aviary, a cultural village, and a natural history museum.

The park aims to offer recreation, conserve wildlife and plants, promote eco-tourism, and create jobs. The government expects to earn about Rs. 360 million annually from the park once it is operational.
In other news, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced salary deductions for medical staff who arrive late or leave early at hospitals and healthcare centers.
All four Regional Health Directors, covering Central, Northern Hazara, and Southern Hazara regions, have been asked to review biometric attendance data from the past ten days and submit reports to the Health Department.
The government noted that late arrivals and early departures by healthcare staff are common and affect healthcare services, requiring immediate action.
