Tashkent: Flag hoisting ceremony took place at the Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent today to commemorate Pakistan’s 86th National Day.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Farooq, raised the national flag to the tune of the national anthem. Messages from the President and the Prime Minister on National Day were also read out to the audience.

In his address, Mr. Ahmed Farooq paid a heartfelt tribute to Pakistan’s founding fathers, whose dedication and sacrifices led to the establishment of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the South Asian Subcontinent. The Ambassador encouraged the community to uphold the principles of justice and equity, fulfilling the vision of the nation’s founders.

A large number of Pakistani community members living in Uzbekistan attended the hoisting ceremony. The event concluded with prayers for Pakistan’s continued prosperity and progress, along with supplications for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir in their pursuit of their inalienable right to self-determination.
