ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced that this month’s salary will be paid to government employees before Eid-ul-Fitr.

The decision was taken after consultations with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, according to an announcement issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The announcement further stated that the monthly pension will also be paid before Eid-ul-Fitr, providing much-needed relief to retired government employees.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has directed the Finance Secretary to make immediate arrangements for the early payment of salaries and pensions, ensuring that government employees receive their due compensation in a timely manner.

This decision will come as a relief to many government employees who were concerned about the delay in payment due to the Eid holidays. The early payment will allow them to enjoy the Eid festivities without worrying about their financial obligations.

The move is also expected to provide a boost to the economy as government employees will have additional funds to spend during the Eid season.
