ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Government officers have been given a deadline of September 2025 to declare their assets.

A private TV channel, citing its sources, reported that a digital portal will be launched to declare assets as demanded by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The Ministry of Finance and Cabinet Division have prepared a draft for declaring government officers’ assets, which will be submitted to the IMF.

Report say an agreement has been reached with the IMF to avoid introducing a mini-budget to address the revenue shortfall. Instead, 157 billion rupees could be collected through a super tax.

Reports from the labor force survey, family budget survey, and living standards were reviewed during these talks. The IMF team also held important discussions on electricity and gas tariffs and circular debt.

Today, negotiations will take place on the draft for declaring government officers’ assets, and the prepared draft will be handed over to the IMF.

On the other hand, during review talks under the 7 billion dollar loan program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the IMF team expressed satisfaction with progress in energy sector reforms.
