Larkana: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced to build 2 million houses for flood victims.

The initiative aims to offer robust structures capable of withstanding floods, while also granting ownership rights to the beneficiaries. Financial assistance will also be provided to support the affected communities.

In Larkana, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took the initiative further by personally distributing the ownership rights certificates of the houses constructed for the flood victims. Speaking at the ceremony, he reiterated the commitment to construct 20 lakh houses and emphasized that the reconstruction process would prioritize durability and resilience against future floods.

Acknowledging the time-consuming nature of such an extensive project, Bilawal assured that all those who lost their homes due to the floods would be provided with new houses and ownership rights. He highlighted the revolutionary nature of the endeavor, signifying that it marked the beginning of a transformative journey across Sindh. Similar housing projects are envisioned for the provinces of Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) following successful election outcomes.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his concern for the people’s welfare, asserting that some politicians in Islamabad remain unaware of the hardships faced by the citizens. He drew inspiration from the teachings of past leaders who advocated for the provision of essentials such as bread, clothing, and housing to the people. By materializing these principles, the government aims to empower the flood victims economically.

In his critique of other political parties, Bilawal suggested that some of them prioritize enriching the affluent elite rather than uplifting the masses. He highlighted the importance of investing in the people and their well-being instead of allowing wealth accumulation to be confined to a select few’s bank accounts.
