ISLAMABAD: The Sindh Culture and Tourism Department has announced the launch of the “Thar Desert Train Safari” to promote tourism and culture, as per the private Tv channel report.
A meeting of the Association of Karachi Tour Operators was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, in which tour operators from Karachi participated.
While addressing the meeting, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that the Thar Desert Train Safari will travel from Karachi to Khokhrapar in the second week of February.

Tourists will experience the colors of tourism and culture from the Thar Desert Train Safari covering Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Chhor, and Khokhropar.
He mentioned that the Thar Desert Train Safari will be a significant initiative to highlight the culture and tourism of Sindh. Additionally, we will soon organize a jeep rally in Tharparkar.
The two-day Lahoti Festival in Larkana will commence from February 15, in collaboration with the Culture and Tourism Department.
The provincial minister emphasized the need for tour operators and companies to focus on tourist destinations in Sindh, as the Sindh government takes steps to promote tourism. As per the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the tourism and culture of Sindh are being actively promoted.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has decided to auction inoperative government vehicles within a month and purchase EV vehicles for employees.
According to media reports, a meeting of the Sindh Cabinet Sub-Committee on Austerity was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon. During the meeting, the Sindh government decided to auction inoperative government vehicles within one month, and it was also decided to purchase EV vehicles for government employees.
In the meeting, the secretaries presented a 10-year record of government vehicles. Sharjeel Memon stated that the auction process should be completed within a month, as resources should not be wasted anymore.
He mentioned that the need for new vehicles can be met, and the government will benefit from purchasing EV vehicles. POL will be saved, and the auction of vehicles will also be easier. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in public resources and urged unauthorized users to return government vehicles.
