Sindh govt to install CCTV cameras in Karachi colleges for enhanced security

KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to install CCTV cameras in government colleges in Karachi for security reasons.

As per the report, the Director General (DG) Colleges Sindh has issued a letter to the principals of government colleges to install CCTV cameras. The letter expressed concerns over security issues and incidents of theft.

The Colleges Department directed that cameras be installed outside and at the gates of all colleges, and steps be taken to ensure foolproof security of staff. Cameras should also be installed on the boundaries, interior, and exterior of the colleges.

The letter also directed ensuring the safety of employees, students, teachers, and government property.

According to the letter, the cameras will provide a strong security framework and facilities.

In other news, the Sindh Culture and Tourism Department has announced the launch of the “Thar Desert Train Safari” to promote tourism and culture.

A meeting of the Association of Karachi Tour Operators was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, in which tour operators from Karachi participated.

While addressing the meeting, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that the Thar Desert Train Safari will travel from Karachi to Khokhrapar in the second week of February. Tourists will witness the vibrant colors of tourism and culture as the train passes through Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Chhor, and Khokhrapar.
