ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the National Police Academy, where he announced the upgradation of the academy.
Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed inspection of the academy, hostel, and mess and also reviewed the facilities provided for the officers under training. He also met the officers under training and inquired about the facilities.
The Interior Minister convened a meeting regarding the reorganization of the National Police Academy.
While requesting a master plan, he said that, first of all, a new master plan for the NPA should be prepared by an international-standard consultant.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that a check for Rs. 250 million from the National Police Foundation will be handed over to the NPA soon.
He added that the reorganization of the National Police Academy should be completed within three months.
The Interior Minister also directed that necessary steps be taken immediately to grant university status to the National Police Academy. He stated that the best officers will be appointed to the National Police Academy, similar to the Military Academy Kakul.
On the other news, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Development Working Party (DWP) held its 71st meeting at CDA Headquarters, chaired by Chairman CDA/CDA-DWP Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
Attendees included CDA Board Members, and representatives from the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Interior, along with senior relevant officers.
According to the report, the forum reviewed and approved four important development plans aimed at improving the city’s infrastructure and services. One of the approved projects was the PC-I for the improvement, lighting, and beautification of Constitution Avenue in Sector F-5/G-5, Islamabad, with an estimated cost of Rs490.082 million.
