Winter holidays announced for private schools, colleges in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Winter vacations have been announced for private educational institutions in the federal capital, Islamabad.

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority has issued a notification regarding winter vacations in private educational institutions in Islamabad.

According to the notification, all private schools and colleges in Islamabad will remain closed for winter vacations from Saturday, December 21, 2024, to Sunday, January 5, 2025. Academic activities will resume in private educational institutions in the federal capital on January 6, 2025.

Islamabad Federal Private Schools Winter Break Schedule: 
Start Date End Date
Saturday, December 21, 2024 Sunday, January 5, 2025

It should be noted that media reports have stated that government educational institutions in Islamabad will remain closed for winter vacations from December 28, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

On the other hand, “Colleges in Punjab will remain closed from Tuesday, December 24, to January 5, 2025 due to winter vacations,” the Punjab Higher Education Commission has issued an official notification for winter vacations in all colleges in the province, stating that.

As per Punjab Higher Education Commission notification, all government and private colleges will reopen as usual from Monday, January 6, 2025.

The notification said that during this period, the activities of the four-year BS program in colleges and other matters will continue as usual, while the papers of universities and colleges will also be held as per the schedule during this period.

Punjab Winter Holidays for Schools:

Winter holidays in all government and private schools in Punjab will be from Monday, December 23, to Friday, January 10.

Earlier, the notice issued about winter holidays in schools and colleges of Punjab said that the holidays would start from December 20, 2024.

Winter Vacations in Sindh Educational Institutions:

The Sindh Education Department has also announced winter vacations for schools and colleges across the province.

According to the notification, all government and private educational institutions in the province will remain closed from December 21 to December 31, 2024, due to winter vacations.

The notification states that the winter vacation schedule for all government and private educational institutions under the College Education Department of Sindh province will be from December 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
