ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a meeting to discuss proposals for improving resource management, boosting operational efficiency, and enhancing the authority’s revenue generation.
As per report, the meeting was attended by CDA members, the DG Resource Wing, the ED Capital Hospital, and other senior officers. The DG Resource Wing gave a detailed briefing on proposals and practical policy measures to optimise performance and utilise untapped resources.
Meeting also reviewed strategies to streamline operations in key CDA Wings and departments, including the Environment Wing, Capital Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, and Enforcement Wing.
Randhawa stressed the importance of coordination among CDA directorates and Wings to ensure the effective implementation of approved initiatives and proposals.
He told the Resource Wing to find gaps, monitor progress, and make sure proposals are carried out on time to make the best use of resources.
Meeting discussed different ideas for the Environment Wing, including finding money-making sites, re-auctioning unused sites, and adding high-quality recreational facilities in the city.

Digital Parking in Major Parks of Islamabad;
During the meeting, the CDA Chairman directed the introduction of digital parking in all major parks of Islamabad and stated that the money generated from the parks would be used for their development and upkeep.
The meeting also discussed proposals for Capital Hospital, focusing on improving financial self-reliance and boosting the hospital operational efficiency.
CDA Chief instructed reducing local medicine purchases and appointing a Director of Finance, he also directed the Executive Director of Capital Hospital to present a detailed plan for enhancing financial viability.
The meeting also reviewed proposals for the Directorate of Health Services, emphasizing the need to reopen non-functional medical centers and appoint medical officers. The proposals included mandating medical screening and vaccinations for workers in barber shops, food outlets, and other businesses as a licensing prerequisite.

Regarding the Enforcement Wing, the proposals included assigning various targets and empowering inspectors with the authority to collect fines on the spot. The Chairman of CDA directed the adoption of an online fine collection system for improved transparency and efficiency.
The meeting highlighted CDA’s focus on managing resources well and becoming self-sufficient while improving public services across Islamabad, additionally, Muhammad Ali Randhawa also held a meeting to check the progress of the Islamabad Solid Waste Management Project.
The meeting was attended by the Member Environment and senior officers from relevant departments. The meeting was briefed on the bidding process for outsourcing solid waste management and was informed that the review of bidding documents has been completed.
