Shaheen Shah Afridi’s selection for only white-ball matches is part of a workload management strategy to maintain his fitness and form ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025,” the board stated.

The selectors have opted for only one specialist spinner, Noman Ali, for the Centurion and Cape Town Tests, respectively. In ODIs, left-arm spinner Sufyan Muqeem has successfully earned his maiden call-up after impressive performances.
