This summit will be a continuation of the joint Arab-Islamic extraordinary summit held last year, which addressed the situation in Gaza and other occupied territories.

Heads of state and senior officials of the Arab League and OIC member states are expected to attend the meeting.

The prime minister will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of other Arab League and OIC member states during the summit.

According to the Saudi Media Report, Saudi Arabia will host the joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in Riyadh on November 11, 2024, to discuss the situation in the region, the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestine, and the crisis in Lebanon.

This initiative is a continuation of efforts by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in collaboration with leaders of other Arab and Islamic countries.

The summit will be held as an extension of the joint Arab-Islamic summit, scheduled in Riyadh on November 11, 2023.

It should be noted that this is Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s second visit to Saudi Arabia in less than a month. Earlier, he attended and addressed an investment conference in Riyadh.

On that occasion, he also held a bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Before the prime minister’s visit, a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia visited Pakistan, while a high-level delegation from Pakistani ministries is currently in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Army Chief General Asim Munir is in Saudi Arabia and met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday.

After the summit in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, where he will attend a meeting on the environment.
