KARACHI: The provincial government has declared that it will no longer provide age relaxation for job seekers starting from January 1, 2025. This indicates that applicants must meet the usual age requirement of 18 to 28 years to qualify for government jobs.

At present, the Sindh government has been allowing a 15-year age relaxation, enabling individuals up to 43 years old to apply for positions. However, this relaxation was originally approved in 2018 as a short-term measure to assist applicants.

It’s important to remember that the usual age limit for government jobs in Sindh is between 18 and 28 years. The provincial government’s decision to cancel the age relaxation intends to align recruitment practices with these original rules.

This shift could have major effects on job seekers in Sindh. If you plan to apply for a government position, ensure you carefully review the new eligibility requirements.
