KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the provincial government will create thousands of new jobs in the near future.
Speaking at a public event, CM Shah stated, “One political party opposes the development of Sindh and has hindered our progress. However, we will not be discouraged.”
The Chief Minister asserted that the Sindh government has already created 16,000 jobs in Grade 16 and above, despite numerous delays and extensions from the courts.
He asserted, “The longstanding issues that have troubled this province for decades will now be addressed by the Pakistan Peoples Party government. We will honor all our promises to the people and return to them with our heads held high.”
The provincial government’s job announcement boosts its image, as it has faced criticism for unemployment and governance issues in recent years.
The Chief Minister’s remarks indicate a strong push to fulfill the PPP’s electoral promises ahead of the next provincial elections.
Murad said, “A party does not support the progress of Sindh,” and promised to resolve decades of problems in the country.
On the other hand, the summer vacation for all public and private schools in Sindh has been extended until August 14, 2024, due to the ongoing heatwave and monsoon season. The Sindh government announced the extension in an official statement.
