ISLAMABAD: PPP Chairman and former Foreign Affairs Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken notice of the alleged abduction of three Pakistani youths in Myanmar and urged the relevant authorities to take measures for their recovery and return to the country.
The PPP Chairman has urged the Foreign Office (FO) to use diplomatic means to find and bring back the three boys from Hyderabad: Kashif Hussain, Faraz Khan, and Shahroz Khan.
Bilawal expressed his sympathy to the families of the abducted youth and assured them that the PPP will raise its voice at all relevant forums for the recovery of the abductees.
According to their relatives, the three young vacationers who had gone to Thailand were lured by an agent to Myanmar, where they were forced to work for a Chinese company.
The families of the victims have alleged that the youths were detained, their travel documents and mobile phones were confiscated, and they were forced to sign employment contracts.
Shehroz Khan, Kashif Hussain and Faraz Khan, from various areas of Hyderabad including Phulleli, Balanaka, and Cloth Market, were lured by the promise of employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar and taken there illegally. The families of the victims have appealed to the authorities to take action to bring the youths back.
Faraz Khan’s sister and Kashif Hussain’s father, Ashiq Hussain, have said that the three friends went to Thailand on February 15 this year for a vacation, where they met a Pakistani who promised them employment in a Chinese company in Myanmar.
They were taken to Myanmar, where they were forced to work in tough conditions and were abused.
The families of the victims say that the agent who took them to Myanmar promised them a good job and nice living conditions. Instead, they were held against their will and forced to work.
