ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police recently arrested 90 criminals, among them 26 members from eight different gangs, involved in activities like theft, robbery, and burglary over the past three weeks.
This operation resulted in the recovery of 20 motorbikes, cash, mobile phones, laptops, gold ornaments, and weapons typically used in such crimes.
SP Investigation Rukhsar Mehdi, addressing a press conference, credited the success of the operation to the collaborative efforts of the Anti-Robbery Dacoity Unit, supported by both technological and manpower resources.
Additionally, the police team managed to retrieve 20 stolen motorbikes along with other stolen items like gold ornaments, cash, mobile phones, laptops, and weapons.
Following initial interrogations, the accused admitted to their involvement in various thefts and robberies within the twin cities. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them, with ongoing investigations to uncover further details.
SP Investigation Rukhsar Mehdi commended the dedication and effectiveness of the police teams involved in executing the operation.
