PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) released a report regarding the casualties and property damage caused by recent rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the past two days.
The report indicates that five individuals lost their lives, with three men and two women among the deceased.
Additionally, eight people sustained injuries, including five children, two men, and one woman. The rainfall led to the damage of 14 houses, with one being completely destroyed and 13 partially damaged.
Several districts, including Bajaur, Batagram, Mansehra, Buner, Dir Upper, and Lower, experienced life and financial disruptions due to heavy rains.
All highways and link roads across the province are now accessible to all types of traffic. PDMA, along with other relevant agencies, continues relief efforts in the affected areas.
The rainfall is forecasted to persist intermittently until April 30, prompting PDMA to issue a preemptive alert to all district administrations on April 24. PDMA’s Emergency Operation Center remains operational, and individuals are encouraged to report any incidents to 1700.
