ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has been appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan on Monday.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification for Ishaq Dar’s appointment as “Deputy Prime Minister,” effective immediately.
The notification, dated April 28, 2024, bears the signature of Cabinet Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal.
It’s worth noting that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is currently in Saudi Arabia to attend the World Economic Forum. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is accompanied by several other ministers.
During Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s presence in Saudi Arabia, the notification appointing Ishaq Dar as Deputy Prime Minister was issued.
