On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr 2024, new movies are set to be released in cinemas across Pakistan, as is customary every year. One Pakistani and three Hollywood films will be screened on Eid this year.

1. “Daghabaaz Dil”
“Dagbaaz Dil” is a film directed by Dil Wajahat Rauf, scheduled to hit theaters on Eid ul Fitr 2024.
The cast of “Dagbaaz” includes Mehwish Hayat, Ali Rehman, Babar Ali, Saleem Sheikh, Momin Saqib, Leela Wasti, and Ayesha Khan. The teaser of the film depicts a wedding ceremony, portraying scenes filled with emotions and happiness.

2. “The Monkey Man”
Actor Dev Patel makes his directorial debut with “The Monkey Man.” The plot revolves around an unnamed individual seeking retribution for his mother’s murder from corrupt leaders. Starring Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley, Petubish, and Sobhita Duhlipala, the film highlights Patel’s versatility, having previously showcased his talent in notable films like “Lion,” “The Green Knight,” and “Slumdog Millionaire.”
3. “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire”
Scheduled for a global release on March 28, “Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire” promises action-packed science fiction. Directed by Adam Wingard, the film pits King Kong against Godzilla in a battle against underground monsters.
Starring Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Nicola Circa, Kay Lee Hotli, and Dan Stevens, this ‘Monster’ movie is highly anticipated.
4. “Civil War”
Joining the Eid lineup is “Civil War,” a film depicting the eruption of a civil conflict in America, resulting in the nation’s division. Directed by Alex Garland, the cast features Wagner Moura, Kirsten Dunst, Cally Spinney, and Jesse Plemons. The film is slated for a global theatrical release on April 11.
