ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Employees Social Security Institution (IESSI) marked a major milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever Social Security Medical Centre in the Humak industrial area. The opening ceremony was held with dignity and was attended by more than 150 representatives from various private industrial and commercial establishments, showcasing strong support from the business community for workers’ welfare.
The land for the centre was donated by Mian Muhammad Ashraf, Director of MIA (Pvt) Ltd., while Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, CEO of Savour Foods, took full responsibility for its construction and furnishing. Both were lauded for their commendable act of corporate social responsibility, which will benefit low-income insured workers in Humak and nearby areas.
The Chief Commissioner ICT / Chairman Governing Body, IESSI present at the event as the Chief Guest, appreciated the efforts of IESSI and specially Mrs. Rabia Aurangzeb Commissioner, IESSI for this successful initiative. He announced that four more medical centres will be set up across Islamabad Capital Territory in partnership with the corporate sector, following the same model.
“This initiative is more than just infrastructure—it reflects our vision to bring public services closer to the people,” said Mr. Randhawa.
The newly inaugurated medical centre is fully equipped to provide a wide range of services. These include consultations with specialists such as a gynecologist and a medical officer, male and female wards, an in-house pharmacy, and a diagnostic collection point operated by Islamabad Diagnostic Centre—all under one roof. The facility will operate under IESSI’s healthcare framework and aims to provide timely and accessible medical care to insured workers and their families.

Other notable attendees at the event included Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mr. Irfan Nawaz Memon, Additional Commissioner IESSI Mr. Kamran Ali Cheema, and President of the Rawalpindi Restaurant, Caterers, Sweets & Bakers Association, Mr. Chaudhry Muhammad Farooq.
Guests visited the centre and praised the modern medical facilities. Speakers called it a model project that represents IESSI’s dedication to ensuring quality healthcare for registered workers.
The institution also expressed its desire to expand such partnerships with the private sector and philanthropists to further enhance social security services and healthcare coverage in the region.
