ISLAMABAD: The government has opted to extend the operational hours of utility stores during Ramadan 2024, now slated to remain open until 10 pm.
Per media reports, this move aims to facilitate more people in shopping under the relief package.
Utility Stores Corporation sources confirm the issuance of instructions to Zonal and General Managers for implementing the new timings.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally instructed the extension of utility store hours during Ramadan. Furthermore, employees of these stores will receive an additional Rs. 500 as an iftar allowance per day throughout the month of Ramadan.
