RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Thursday that Pakistan conducted effective strikes against hideouts located inside Iran, which were utilized by terrorists responsible for recent attacks in Pakistan during the early hours of January 18.
Providing insights into Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar, the military’s media wing stated, “Precision strikes were executed utilizing lethal drones, rockets, loitering munitions, and stand-off weapons.”
The ISPR emphasized that utmost care was taken to prevent collateral damage.
“Hideouts utilized by terrorist organizations, namely the Balochistan Liberation Army and Balochistan Liberation Front, were successfully targeted in an intelligence-based operation, codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar’,” the statement noted.
As per the ISPR, these targeted hideouts were being used by well-known terrorists, including Dosta (alias Chairman), Bajjar (alias Soghat), Sahil (alias Shafaq), Asghar (alias Basham), and Wazir (alias Wazi), among others.
“The Pakistan Armed Forces remain in a constant state of readiness to ensure the safety of Pakistani citizens against acts of terrorism,” the statement emphasized.
The military’s media wing further declared that the Pakistan Army’s commitment to ensuring the respect and safeguarding of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan against any misadventure remains steadfast.
“We reiterate our determination to overcome all enemies of Pakistan with the support of the people of Pakistan,” it added.
Looking ahead, the ISPR asserted that dialogue and cooperation are considered wise in resolving bilateral issues between the two neighboring brotherly countries.
