LAHORE: The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has declared a reduction of one subject for both matric and ninth-grade classes.
As per the board’s representative, beginning from the 2024-26 session, only ninth-grade students will undergo examinations in Islamic Studies, while matric students will undertake Pakistan Studies examinations.
Furthermore, the spokesperson mentioned an elevation in marks for both Islamic Studies and Pakistan Studies from 50 to 100.
The official also highlighted that due to this adjustment in marking, the Punjab Textbook Board has received a directive to publish books aligned with these modifications.
