Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider of the Pakistan Army and three of his comrades were martyred in a clash with terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to the Inter-Services Public Relations on Monday.
Lt-Col Haider led the security forces during the IBO in the Tirah area of Khyber District, where they eliminated three militants and injured three others.
The military’s media wing reported, ‘While conducting the operation, our troops, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Hassan Haider, effectively engaged the terrorists’ position, resulting in three terrorists being killed, with three others sustaining injuries.’
The soldiers martyred during the operation were identified as Naik Khushdil Khan, aged 31, from Lakki Marwat District; Naik Rafique Khan, aged 27, from Charsadda District; and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir, aged 33, from District Murree.
The ISPR also underlined the unwavering determination of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism, and these brave soldiers’ sacrifices further fortify our resolve.
A sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area, as per the official statement.
