An entrance test for admission to medical colleges was held today in various cities across Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar. Thousands of students participated in the exam.

The Higher Education Department foiled a plan to cheat on the MDCAT exam. Dozens of candidates who were caught cheating using Bluetooth devices have been arrested.

The education secretary said that there was a tip-off about a clandestine group that was planning to distribute the exam questions via Bluetooth. The group would have helped students cheat on the exam using Bluetooth devices.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) had made it clear that the MDCAT exam would be held across the country on September 10, and that there would be no other exam. Therefore, students who have registered for the exam should report to their respective examination centers.

More than 40,000 students from across Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, and Larkana, are taking the exam for admission to medical colleges. More than 19,000 students have registered in Lahore, and more than 9,000 students in Balochistan.

Officials from the Ministry of Education say that very strict security arrangements have been made at the examination centers for the MDCAT entry test. Section 144 has also been imposed at some examination centers.
