ISLAMABAD: Four suspected monkeypox patients escaped from Islamabad airport while being taken to hospital.
The patients were identified as Rehman Tariq, Ali Hamza, Zulqarnain, and Naeem. They were being transported in an ambulance from the airport when they managed to escape. The Border Health Services has not commented on the incident.
The patients were reportedly deported from Libya on a special flight on the night of September 8. They were quarantined at the airport after showing symptoms of monkeypox.

Monkeypox is a rare viral disease that is similar to smallpox and chickenpox. It is found in Central and West Africa, but has also been reported in other parts of the world. Monkeypox can be transmitted from animals to humans, and from person to person.
