ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: Six individuals lost their lives and several others were injured in a tragic incident that occurred after a collision between a tanker and a car on the Rawalpindi motorway on Monday, As per media report.
The motorway spokesperson additionally verified the casualties, stating that the incident occurred in the Salt Range area when a gas tanker collided with a car. The crash led to the fatalities of a minimum of six individuals, while others sustained injuries in the incident.
According to the media report, brake failure on the gas tanker led to its collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The motorway spokesperson stated that the gas tanker was an route from Rawalpindi to Faisalabad at the time of the accident. Upon receiving the report, motorway police and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene and conducted rescue operations.
The injured persons and dead bodies were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment and legal formalities respectively.
Earlier on May 6, 2024 Sunday late night, at least three peoples died and several others were injured when a passenger van collided with a trailer at Hyderabad motorway .
The incident took place on motorway M9 within the jurisdiction of Bula Khan police station in Hyderabad, where a van collided with a trailer due to excessive speed, resulting in the immediate death of three individuals and critical injuries to several others.
