All Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has announced the closure of all schools on Wednesday due to the ongoing protests over the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
The decision was made in consideration of the emergency conditions prevailing in the country. However, matriculation exams will proceed as per schedule.
The APPSF President Kashif Mirza urged everyone to stay safe during these circumstances, and a decision on the resumption of regular classes will be made after discussions today.
In response to Khan’s arrest, the PTI has called for nationwide protests and urged supporters to block all roads and shops.
Protesters in various cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Mardan, caused damage to public property, and clashes with police were reported in Karachi.
