He clarified that any charged parking operating after this date will be considered illegal. He also urged journalists to immediately inform the government if they come across any charged parking still in operation.

Earlier, Sharjeel Inam Memon highlighted the frequent accidents on the roads of Sehwan and Hyderabad. He explained that these roads are not under the jurisdiction of Sindh but are federal roads, and their construction is the responsibility of the National Highway Authority (NHA).

He advised the Punjab Information Minister to do proper research before making statements. Memon added that the Sindh government had even paid the federal government for the construction of these roads, but the failure to build them reflects poorly on the PML-N.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had decided to make its parking sites free of charge.

According to reports, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab announced that no fees would be charged at KMC parking sites. He stated that this decision was made in the public interest.

He further mentioned that KMC is now financially stable, with over 2 billion rupees in its accounts. Wahab clarified that KMC no longer needs 40 to 50 million rupees.

Wahab also said that a formal notification would be issued to relieve citizens of parking fees. He warned that legal action would be taken against those illegally collecting money in the name of KMC. In a separate development, the Sindh government has decided to crack down on physically unfit vehicles.
