KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to name the Malir Expressway as Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Expressway.
As per Sindh government spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab, heavy traffic and general traffic will be allowed on the six-lane road, but motorcycles and rickshaws will not be allowed on the expressway.
He said that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will inaugurate the Malir Expressway on Saturday, January 11, and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah will also be present.
He said that the nine-kilometer first phase of the Malir Expressway has been completed, and the Malir Expressway will be opened to the public from Qayyumabad Chowrangi to Shah Faisal Colony Interchange. The second phase of the project, which extends to Quaidabad, has also been directed to be completed immediately.

The Sindh government spokesperson said that the opening of the Malir Expressway is expected to reduce traffic problems in the city.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the introduction of a motorcycle clinic project in the province, which will provide health facilities in remote areas of the province.
Addressing a function, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz shared the details of the project and said that the aim of the doctors is to serve the patients. She said that the annual fund for dialysis patients will be increased from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 1 million, and a plan will also be launched to provide insulin to the homes of top patients.
