ISLAMABAD: The federal government announced a public holiday across Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day.
Banks and all financial institutions across the country will also remain closed on August 14.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on August 14.
There will also be a public holiday in all government offices and educational institutions across the country.
The federal government has opted to appoint the IT ministry’s secretary from the private sector rather than from within the bureaucracy.
The Establishment Division has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Secretary of the Ministry of IT within 15 days. The appointment will be made on a contract basis through a competitive process.
