KPK govt announces 25% salary increase for employees

PESWARAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has increased the salaries of government employees by 25 percent.

According to a private TV channel report, there is good news for the government employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: the provincial government has increased salaries by 10 to 25 percent.

It may be recalled that the KP government had approved a 10% increase in the annual budget.

According to Finance Advisor Muzamil Aslam, the announcement of a further increase in salaries will be issued after the approval of the cabinet.

Muzamil Aslam said that the increase in salaries will put a burden of 75 to 80 billion rupees on the treasury.

He further said that they are going to increase the salaries of government employees following the federation’s pattern.

It should be noted that the federal government announced an increase in salaries for government employees in the budget 2024-25. The federal government’s minimum wage has also been raised to Rs37,000 for employees.

In the federal budget, the salaries of government employees from grades 1-16 have been raised by 25%, while salaries for grades 17-22 have been raised by 20%.
