PESHAWAR: Pashto drama and stage artist Khushboo Khan’s body was discovered in crop fields in the Wapda Colony area of Nowshera District following her fatal shooting by two men, police reported on Monday.
As per media report, The Akbarpura police filed a murder case against two suspects, Shaukat, the son of Gul Muhammad, and Falak Niaz, the son of Dilbar. They were identified by the complainant, the slain actor’s brother.
The police stated that they initiated a search operation to apprehend the suspects, one of whom had previously been charged with the alleged murder of another woman from the acting industry.
As per the First Information Report, the victim’s brother claimed that the suspects murdered Khushboo because she refused to exclusively work in events organized by them, insisting she refrain from attending any other events and quit the industry altogether.

Meanwhile, Akhbarpura Station House Officer (SHO) Niaz Muhammad Khan stated that the police suspected Khushboo was taken to the mentioned gathering, attended by both suspects, and that she was killed elsewhere before her body was disposed of in the fields.
The official also mentioned that the police intend to track down the suspects using modern investigative techniques like geo-fencing.
According to police findings, the suspects purportedly utilize residences for such criminal activities. Nowshera District Police Officer (DPO) Azhar stated that evidence had been gathered, and investigations into the matter had commenced. He mentioned that following a post-mortem examination, the body was returned to the family.
