ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new integrated system, ePayment 2.0, for the payment of all taxes in Pakistan.
According to the FBR spokesperson, under this system, the payment of withholding tax, income tax, sales tax, and federal excise duty has been unified. The new system for tax payment is available within the IRIS 2.0 portal.
This is a major step towards modernizing Pakistan’s tax system as per the vision of the Government of Pakistan. The new system will provide users with an easy online payment facility through internet banking, ATMs, and mobile banking.

The spokesperson said that the FBR has provided a comprehensive and improved user-friendly interface to taxpayers through ePayment 2.0. Upon completion of payment, a verified Computerized Payment Receipt (CPR) will be issued via email and SMS.
According to the FBR, this revolutionary innovation reflects the FBR’s leadership in digital tax administration, providing a single integrated interface that eliminates the need for multiple logins and platform switching.
