Three Shepherds Killed by Lightning Strike in Oghi, Mansehra

Mansehra – Three shepherds were killed by a lightning strike in the Kundaw Kari forests of Oghi, Mansehra.

The victims, identified as Mohammad Shafique (28) from Battagram, Ahmad Khan (40) from Oghi, and Mohammad Shakeel (10) from Battagram, were attending to their herds when the incident occurred. Locals recounted the sudden lightning strike, followed by heavy rainfall, which prompted residents to rush to the forest and discover the deceased.

“Upon receiving the information, our teams promptly responded to the emergency and transported the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Oghi,” stated Amir Khadim, an official with Rescue 1122. After completing the necessary medico-legal procedures, the bodies were released to the families.

Furthermore, the news report highlights additional incidents of heavy rain causing disruptions in Mansehra and landslides affecting traffic in Torghar. Additionally, two women were reportedly injured by a lightning strike in Nushki, Balochistan.
