RAWALPINDI: General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), emphasized that achieving complete independence is not feasible without economic stability.

Speaking at the Green Pakistan Initiative conference, he called upon the nation to collectively combat “negative forces.” He stressed that despite distractions like negative propaganda and social media trolls, Pakistan must remain focused on its path towards development and prosperity.

General Munir asserted that with the support of the people, the armed forces would thwart any efforts aimed at hindering Pakistan’s progress.

He emphasized the unity of the nation, expressing confidence that together, they would overcome obstacles to development. Warning against any form of instability, he reiterated the commitment to Pakistan’s journey towards prosperity.

In a recent meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, COAS Munir reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering support for government initiatives aimed at economic recovery.

The meeting, attended by both civilian and military leadership, focused on measures against illegal activities, including corruption, smuggling, power theft, and criminal enterprises.
