The primary beneficiaries of this initiative are individuals such as overseas Pakistanis, including students and employees, as well as foreign nationals who visit Pakistan for tourism or business-related reasons.

Addressing the attendees during the inaugural ceremony in Islamabad, PM Shahbaz Sharif highlighted the remarkable progress made by Pakistani youth in the field of information technology. Acknowledging the vast opportunities within the sector, he emphasized the importance of capitalizing on them.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed his government’s commitment to empowering the youth by allocating sufficient funds in the current budget for various youth programs. In this context, he mentioned the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a pivotal measure to attract foreign investment and revive the national economy. Characterizing the SIFC as a program of economic recovery, PM Shahbaz Sharif attributed the IT Ministry with a significant role in achieving the set objectives.

PM Shahbaz Sharif also underlined the necessity of promoting IT parks throughout the country to boost IT exports. In addition, he announced the distribution of free laptops to deserving students based on merit, as part of the government’s efforts to support education and foster technological advancement.

In a bid to further enhance the experience of overseas Pakistanis, the Prime Minister pledged the imminent announcement of a non-financial package in the coming days. This initiative aims to provide additional benefits and support to those residing abroad.

With these endeavors, the government of Pakistan, under the leadership of PM Shahbaz Sharif, demonstrates its commitment to creating a favorable environment for visitors and harnessing the potential of the information technology sector, ultimately contributing to the nation’s progress and prosperity.
