Traditionally, Eid holidays begin a day earlier than the expected date to allow ample time for preparations and participation in the festive celebrations.
There are discussions within the government about a potential four-day holiday from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday), in addition to the usual weekend break on Saturday and Sunday observed by both government and some private offices, resulting in a total holiday period of six days.
However, the final decision on the holiday schedule is subject to consultations with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and other relevant authorities.
