Peshawar Under Attack: Suicide Blast Kills Two, Injures One in Board Bazar

PESHAWAR: A blast in Peshawar’s Board Bazar early Sunday morning killed two individuals and injured another, as confirmed by police officials.

SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi stated that the blast, which occurred in Board Bazar, was a suicide attack.

The critically injured individual has been transferred to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital, while the bodies have also been taken to the same hospital.

According to a report from a private TV channel, SSP Operations, accompanied by a substantial police presence, is at the blast site.

Additionally, personnel from the counter-terrorism department (CTD) and rescue teams are present to gather evidence. Authorities have cordoned off the area as investigations continue.

Board Bazar, typically bustling with heavy traffic, experienced slower than usual traffic at the time of the blast.

Reportedly, the suspect was riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident.
