LAHORE: The government of Punjab has declared a public holiday in Lahore District on March 2nd, 2024 (Saturday) to mark the annual Urs celebrations of Madhu Lal Hussain.
The official notification announced a holiday for the general public in Lahore District on March 2nd, 2024, in honor of the “Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain.”
The annual festivities for Madhu Lal Hussain are scheduled to commence over the weekend. Senior officials, including the Secretary of Auqaf, will inaugurate the Urs celebrations at the Sufi saint’s shrine.
The Urs festivities will be attended by members of the Religious Committee, scholars, Mushaikh, and a considerable number of devotees.
The Auqaf Department has earmarked Rs459,000 for the Urs grant, while local law enforcement and the department have implemented comprehensive security measures for the visitors.
