LAHORE: The Department of Services and General Administration has released a notice stating that tomorrow, April 23, 2024, will be observed as a public holiday in the city.
This decision aims to facilitate arrangements for President Raisi’s visit and ensure a smooth and welcoming atmosphere for the esteemed guest.
According to the notice, educational institutions and government offices across Lahore will be closed on the specified day.
Daniyal Umar, spokesperson for the Department of Services and General Administration, emphasized the significance of the public holiday in Lahore, highlighting President Raisi’s visit as crucial for strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Pakistan.
However, it’s important to note that the Punjab Civil Secretariat and related offices will maintain their regular operations to ensure essential government functions continue uninterrupted during the visit.
