ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) manages the electricity distribution network in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, Jhelum, and Islamabad districts, offering a flat fee package starting from Rs8,500 for new electricity connections.
To obtain a new single-phase connection for a newly constructed house within IESCO’s jurisdiction, applicants must adhere to the outlined application process.
New Connection Procedure:
Step 1: Obtain five copies of the Application and Agreement (A&A) form and Abridged Conditions of Supply from Subdivisional Offices or Customer Service Centers, free of charge.
Step 2: Complete all five copies of the A&A form and submit them along with one copy of the Abridged Conditions of Supply and required supporting documents, including property ownership proof (Registry), a consumer electricity bill from adjacent premises, a wiring test report (excluding domestic connections), an affidavit confirming no previous connection at the premises, the owner’s and witness’s National Identity Card photocopies, and a “No Objection Certificate” from the landlord if the applicant is a tenant, along with the landlord’s ownership proof and affidavit.
Timeline for New Electricity Connection in Islamabad:
Approximately 35 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas are required for the process.

The fee for a new single-phase electricity connection varies based on the length of the service line. The minimum cost for a new meter is Rs8,500 for service lines up to 20 meters.
