ISLAMABAD: Social media users throughout Pakistan, including Islamabad, have been encountering difficulties accessing the X (Twitter) service since Saturday night.
Per the website and internet service monitoring site ‘DowndetectorPK,’ X’s service was unavailable in Pakistan around 9 p.m. on Saturday night.
Users have been unable to view or post any content on X since Saturday night.
According to Down Detector, numerous reports have been received since Saturday night regarding X’s closure.
As of 9 a.m. on Sunday, 12 hours later, X remained inaccessible in Pakistan, with no communication from the PTA to users.
Reportedly, some users have turned to VPNs to access X; however, many VPNs are also dysfunctional in Pakistan, and the internet speed is reported to be significantly slow on some.
