Casualties and Rescue Efforts: Initial reports indicate eight fatalities and 10 injuries of varying degrees. Rescue teams are actively working to transfer the deceased and wounded to Pishin DHQ Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Target and Motive: The precise target of the explosion is yet to be determined. While it occurred at Asfandyar Kakar’s election office, investigations are required to ascertain if he was the intended target or if the attack was aimed at disrupting the upcoming general elections.

According to the Khanozai assistant commissioner speaking to a private TV channel, the explosive material was attached to a motorcycle.

Heightened Security Concerns: This incident underscores the precarious security situation in Pakistan, particularly with the impending general elections scheduled for Thursday. Authorities are expected to bolster security measures nationwide to prevent further violence and ensure the smooth conduct of the polls.

Investigation Underway: Levies officials are actively investigating the explosion, collecting evidence, and reconstructing the sequence of events. No entity has claimed responsibility for the attack thus far.
