ISLAMABAD : In a harrowing incident within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bara Kahu in the federal capital, two armed Afghan nationals are alleged to have fatally shot a local couple in a blind-firing episode arising from a road dispute.
The victims, identified as engineer Muhammad Asim Lang and his wife Rada-e-Noor, came under attack while travelling with their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Sabrina.
Media reports indicate that the confrontation transpired in the Satra Meel area, where the Afghan nationals, identified as Sharifullah and Ismail, reportedly clashed with the victims over the right of way. Regrettably, the dispute escalated, leading to the Afghan nationals opening fire on the couple inside their car, resulting in the immediate demise of both Muhammad Asim Lang and Rada-e-Noor.

According to police sources, the bodies of the victims were expeditiously taken into custody and transported to the hospital for legal proceedings. Responding to the grave incident, ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan promptly took notice and directed SSP Operations to accelerate the arrest of the accused. SSP Operations has reportedly assembled three dedicated police teams tasked with locating and apprehending Sharifullah and Ismail.
As the investigation unfolds, a private TV channel quoted police sources confirming that both suspects are Afghan nationals.
